From a single 18-room roadside motel to a nationally recognized hospitality platform built over four decades of family ownership. Built in Iowa. Operating nationwide.

Hawkeye Hotels began in 1982 with an 18-room roadside motel in Mena, Arkansas. From those beginnings, the Patel family built a hospitality company grounded in personal accountability, disciplined operations, and long-term relationships.
Today, Hawkeye Hotels is an integrated national hospitality platform with experience across ownership, acquisitions, development, construction, asset management, and operations. The company has completed more than 100 developments and acquisitions and participated in more than $3 billion in transaction activity across leading brands and markets.
Hawkeye has grown dramatically, but the philosophy remains the same: think like an owner, protect the reputation, invest in people, and build for the long term.

Disciplined acquisitions, developments, joint ventures, and repositioning.
From market selection and brand approval through opening and stabilization.
Managing cost, quality, timing, and execution from concept to completion.
Actively improving performance, positioning, and long-term asset value.
Driving revenue, talent, guest experience, and property-level accountability.
Hawkeye’s experience spans select-service, extended-stay, full-service, lifestyle, urban, suburban, and adaptive-reuse hotels across markets throughout the United States.

For decades, Fairfield and Hampton have been foundational to Hawkeye’s growth. The company has developed, acquired, owned, and operated dozens of these hotels across markets nationwide, building deep expertise in two of the industry’s most proven select-service brands. That repetition created a scalable playbook around site selection, development, operations, revenue management, brand relationships, and helped establish Hawkeye as a trusted partner to both Marriott and Hilton.
